Here are 20 basic Japanese adverbs and example sentences using them. Adverbs are used to add more meaning to verbs. With just a few key adverbs along with some basic verbs, you will be able to say a lot in Japanese.

Expressing Time

Learning common words is a good way to start learning Japanese. Learning common words in different word categories is even better. If you want to know where to go next, there is a special category of words in Japanese called Rentaishi. They are kind of like a type of adjective.
