基本 – Basic Japanese Adjectives and Sentences : な-Adjective
な-Adjectives are a type of adjective in Japanese. They add more information to Japanese nouns like い-Adjectives. However, they are mostly nouns that can also be used as Adjectives.
Here are 20 of these basic Japanese adjectives. You can jumpstart your Japanese learning by just starting with these few basic adjectives in Japanese.

These are some of the most common words in Japanese. Combine these な-adjectives with some basic verbs and basic adverbs, and you can express even more concepts in Japanese.

- 重要な: important

- 様々な: various
- 同様な: same, like
様々な意見がある

Other Basic Adjectives

- 自由な: free, liberated
- 健康な: healthy
- 直接な: direct

Learning common words is a good way to start learning Japanese. Learning common words in different word categories is even better. If you want to know where to go next, there is a special category of words in Japanese called Rentaishi. They are kind of like a type of adjective.
