November in Japanese is not too hard to remember. As long as you remember that it is the eleventh month then you are all set! Just add 11 to the Kanji for moon. I’ll explain more below.

What is November in Japanese

November in Japanese is 11月じゅういちがつ. If you want to write that in Roman Characters it is juichigatsu. Basically, in order to say November in Japanese, just remember the number eleven and the kanji character for moon. 11 in Japanese is juichi or 十一. So you can also write November as 十月 in Japanese. This is exactly how all of the months in Japanese work.

The Old way to say November in Japanese

If you are curious there is an old or more traditional word for November in Japanese. It is 霜月しもつき. This word was used in the old Japanese calendar. This again in Roman Characters would be shimotsuki.
