October in Japanese is not too hard to remember. As long as you remember that it is the tenth month then you are all set! Just add 10 to the Kanji for moon. I’ll explain more below.

October in Japanese is 10月じゅうがつ. If you want to write that in Roman Characters it is jugatsu. Basically, in order to say October in Japanese, just remember the number ten and the kanji character for moon. 10 in Japanese is ju or 十. So you can also write October as 十月 in Japanese. This is exactly how all of the months in Japanese work.

If you are curious there is an old or more traditional word for October in Japanese. It is 神無月かんなづき. This word was used in the old Japanese calendar. This again in Roman Characters would be kannatsuki.
