August in Japanese is not too hard to remember. As long as you remember that it is the eighth month then you are all set! Just add 8 to the Kanji for moon. I’ll explain more below.

August in Japanese is 8月はちがつ. If you want to write that in Roman Characters it is hachigatsu. Basically, in order to say August in Japanese, just remember the number eight and the kanji character for moon. 8 in Japanese is hachi or 八. So you can also write August as 八月 in Japanese.
