Basically, in order to say the months in Japanese, you need to know how to count in Japanese. If you know how to count in Japanese then you start at the beginning of the year with the first month as number one and the last month as number thirteen.

Once you know which number to use for which month you just need to add the 月 character to the end. This Kanji means moon or month.
