付箋の驚く力 – Simple 6 Step Method to Learn Japanese with Sticky Notes
All you do to learn Japanese with sticky notes are 6 simple steps. You just write a Japanese word on one side, then the translation on the other. After that you find a surface to paste the notes on. Then review whenever you pass by.
If there are words you don’t recognize you can flip over the notes and see their translation. When you feel you know a word well enough, just take off the sticky note. That’s it!
INDEX
1. Write Japanese on one Side
Write a Japanese word on a sticky note. Then find a wall or some surface you look at often. Paste the sticky notes on that surface.

If you want you can also write phrases, grammar rules, or whatever you want.
2. Write English on the other
On the back of the note, write the English translation. Or, you can use this method to learn how to read kanji. You can even use the method to learn different forms of words:
月 → つき (Kanji reading)
行く→ 行った (Past tense)
森 → Forest (Translation)
3. Review Whenever you walk by
Whenever you are around your sticky notes take a look. If you know the back then make a mark on the card.
You can also try highlighting words that you can’t seem to remember. This makes them pop out so you are more likely to review them.
4. Flip the Notes over when you need Help
After awhile you will start to learn the words. If there are words you don’t recognize you can just flip over the notes and see their translation.
5. Take off the Words you Know
When you feel you know a word well enough, just them down.
6. Paste New Words on the Wall
You will just continue this process by making new notes and posting them on your wall. That’s it!
