Visual Japanese Words
Have you ever looked up a translation for a Japanese word only to find a list of English words? Did you feel frustrated trying to memorize all of these definitions? Your not alone. The more information you try to learn at once the harder it is. If you want to learn words quicker, it is better to just pick one definition initially. Later after you recognize that word well you can learn all the various other translations and how to actually use the word.

Visual words are easier to learn since you can bring up a picture in your mind when you think of them. So, when you first start learning Japanese it is much more efficient to start learning these words. Once you get a good number of these words then you can move on to learn other words.
Short Japanese Words
One very common words in Japanese is いただきます. The word is used before you eat. You can’t learn Japanese without this word. But, if you are like most people it can get you tough-twisted if you don’t have enough practice speaking.
When you try to learn long words or phrases your brain is more likely to juggle up the different syllables. This can make the words harder to say when you need it, and harder to remember. That is why, when you start learning Japanese you would do better at focusing on learning short words in the beginning.
Shorter words also can be combined together to make phrases. If you want to get used to Japanese grammar and word order, it is easier to learn phrases and sentences instead of trying to memorize rules. So, if you know a lot of short words you can learn short phrases and get used to these rules easier.
