キットカット – Japanese Kit-Kats for Summer 2020
Japan has many different Kit-Kat flavors. Many are year round but some are only seasonal or around for a limited time. Here are 4 Japanese Kit-Kats for Summer 2020.
The theme this summer seems to be salt and fruit. All the flavors, Premium Citrus Mint, Ocean Salt, Salt Lemon and Salt Lychee have salt or a fruit flavor to them.

シトラスミント：Premium Citrus Mint
Premium Citrus Mint (シトラスミント, shitorasu minto）is made with white chocolate mixed with mint flavor.
It also has bits of feuillantine which is a French, crepe-like confectionary mixed into the chocolate. The citrus flavor is from 2.0% lemon juice.
オーシャンソルト：Ocean Salt
Ocean Salt (オーシャンソルト, ōshan soruto）is made with white chocolate and salt from Japan’s Seto Inland Sea (瀬戸内海、seto naikai). I think Nestle put more effort into the packaging and campaign for this flavor.
Every package features some sea animal. Also for every package purchased they donate 10 Yen to an ocean cleaning organization called Zero Waste Japan.
塩レモン：Salt Lemon
Again we have a citrus and salt flavor, Salt Lemon (塩レモン, shio remon）. The salt is also from the Seto Inland Sea located between two of Japanese islands, Honshu (本州) and Shikoku（四国). It of course has lemon powder to give it it’s lemony flavor.
塩ライチ：Salt Lychee
Finally, the last flavor for our Japanese Kit-Kats for Summer 2020 is Salt Lychee (塩ライチ, shio raichi). Lychee is a rather popular flavor in Japan. This Kit-Kat has Lychee flavor and salt again from the Seto Inland Sea.
